Hello!
Welcome back to The Lee Camp Ledger. I hope I can offer you some laughs and give you some interesting conversation topics to impress your lovers and friends this week for the Hallmark-holiday of Cupid.
The US is still trying to get its blood-stained hands on Venezuelan oil and now we know it because John Bolton told us explicitly.
The brewing-climate catastrophe continues to accelerate toward us in a week when the newspapers are reporting that insect populations are plummeting at ASTOUNDING rates while Nancy Pelosi decided to refer to the Green New Deal policy proposed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as the “Green Dream.”
And the Senate has passed legislation intended to silence criticism of Israel, a nation that seems to understand how to manipulate our legislators better than any of our own citizens. (Hint: the trick is bribery.)
So with those depressing stories in mind, remember that now is the time to fight - not a time to feel bad for ourselves.

I spoke to Scott Edwards, the legal chief at Food & Water Watch, about why so many on the left have fallen for the “carbon tax” sham, and why so many of our laws end up written by corporate lawyers trying to enrich their companies.
The name of the advocacy organization Food & Water Watch defines why they’re so important in the modern world. And it’s because this org is so crucial, that I’m donating 10% of the sales of my stand-up comedy special to Food & Water Watch and Veterans For Peace.
This week on Common Censored:
Countering establishment narratives on the issues of the day and keeping the focus on improving the lives of vulnerable communities
A potential solution to the student loan debt crisis being experienced by so many US citizens
The anti-BDS bill passed the Senate last week — ironically, this kind of legislation only fuels the rise of antisemitism at home and abroad
Listen to the new episode here.
This week on VIP I reported on the growing Yellow Vest protests, an action where US activists shut down a natural gas pipeline, and a strike movement in Mexico that’s gaining national traction.
In the second half of the show Dan Cohen comes on to discuss the Venezuelan coup and the man the US is backing to lead if our regime change efforts are successful.

The Trump Administration has admitted that the Venezuelan coup is about the oil, and it’s shocking to me… that they told the truth for once. Also, a massive action in India saw more than 60 million trees planted in a day and I think this is an important idea to help clean the atmosphere and respond to climate change.
Then a report on a Chicago PD program where police officers are being trained not to use violence against people of color by officers who have been accused of misconduct. And a Reuters report revealed that former-NSA agents are spying on Americans for the UAE.

Ilhan Omar is Right: AIPAC Influences Congress to the Tune of $4 Million Annually
MintPress News | Alexander Rubinstein
Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has been the subject of bipartisan bullying that has reached a fever pitch since the lawmaker explicitly called out the number one Israeli lobby group in the U.S. — the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
Venezuelans' message to the US: Hands off our country
Grayzone Project | Anya Parampil
The Grayzone reports from inside Venezuela, where millions of people waited in long lines to sign an open letter to the US public, strongly rejecting foreign intervention in their country.
Anya Parampil interviewed working-class Venezuelans in Simon Bolivar Square in the capital Caracas, on February 10, 2019.
A Positive Vision For What The Green New Deal Could Be
Popular Resistance | Margaret Flowers & Kevin Zeese
The Green New Deal was introduced this week by Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Markey. It is best described by Jason Grumet, head of a conservative Washington, DC think tank, as “a mirror that allows anyone to see their own interest.” It is a resolution that Members of Congress can support because it doesn’t challenge their corporate donors while it gives the illusion of addressing the climate crisis.
Reader-Submitted
This week from Reader-Submitted we are highlighting the submission of K. Jeffers Tracy.
Jeffers Tracy writes about the climate and in this piece we take a look at the development of the climate crisis and some of the small but important solutions available to us.

“Not Allowed On American TV” is the name of my new comedy special. The British publication The Canary called it the “New standard in political comedy,” and I couldn’t say that better myself (without sounding extremely arrogant).
You can purchase it — for less than a hipster cup of coffee — at LeeCampComedySpecial.com. Watch the trailer below for a taste of the hour-long special.
Keep fighting!
