Ugh! This has been a rough few days. My day job is making dick jokes about serious topics but spreading truth is my ultimate goal.
For anybody in my industry the arrest of Julian Assange last week was a warning. Assange is guilty of publishing the secrets of the global elite. He exposed war crimes done in the name of making the world safer for capitalists to own, and he has spent the past 7 years paying for exposing them.
This has been a dark week, and that isn’t even considering that Notre Dame nearly burned down and we’re all hurtling towards extinction. So to brighten up this message I’ll just remind you all that the group Extinction Rebellion are engaging in a week of direct action between April 15-22, and we should all be involved.
Thanks for coming back to The Lee Camp Ledger. I do this all for you!

3 New Studies That Will Make You Rethink Systemic Racism
Racism is like sewage. Whether we’re currently engaging in a national dialogue about it or not, it’s still there. It runs under our streets, our buildings, our society. Millions of tons of shit.
A few months ago, a national dialogue about race bubbled up to the surfice in all its stinking, rancid glory. That dialogue flared up when we all found out that the governor of my home state of Virginia, Ralph Northam, appeared in his medical school yearbook photo wearing blackface beside someone in a Klan hood (or perhaps it was him in the Klan hood next to a guy in blackface—neither explanation really helps his case). And in that moment, we could all see what racism looks like. It was tangible. It was real. We could point to it and cringe.

It's the start of the Extinction Rebellion
TreeHugger | Lloyd Alter
Two weeks of climate action started on April 15 for the direct action group Extinction Rebellion.
Protesters in London caused gridlock, occupied bridges, slept in Hyde Park and had more than 100 arrests.
One organizer was quoted in The Guardian saying, "This is not a one-off march – we will keep going for as long as we have to, shutting down cities day after day until our demands are met." their most significant demand is CARBON NET ZERO BY 2025 – “The Government must enact legally-binding policies to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2025 and take further action to remove the excess of atmospheric greenhouse gases.”

Grayzone Project | Max Blumenthal & Ben Norton
The US military and CIA launder coup propaganda through popular first-person shooter video games like Call of Duty, simulating assassinations of Venezeula’s socialist leader and sabotage of its electrical infrastructure.
