Hello!
Welcome back to another issue of The Lee Camp Ledger.
Trump and John Bolton are in a desperate struggle to start a war. They just transitioned from a heavy push for ‘humanitarian intervention’ (yeah right) in Venezuela to a fresh push for war with Iran.
This is on top of the fact that the incoming climate calamity isn’t getting nearly the response that the science indicates we need to avoid EXTINCTION!
So here are two victories to celebrate:
The Embassy Protection Collective have so far survived the threat of being evicted from the Venezuelan Embassy - the police were impotent to arrest them; they just wanted to scare them
Sunrise Movement are getting arrested in Washington DC to push for a Green New Deal and their campaign has momentum and popular support.
Keep fighting and join in with the fights that others are engaged in.

After Standing Rock, protesting pipelines can get you a decade in prison and $100K in fines
Grist | Naveena Sadasivam
Cherri Foytlin and her fellow protestors spent much of last summer suspended 35-feet in the air in “sky pods” tied to cypress trees. They were hoping to block the Bayou Bridge Pipeline from running through their part of Louisiana.
At the time, Energy Transfer Partners was building the pipeline to move oil between Texas and St. James Parish in southern Louisiana, crisscrossing through the Atchafalaya Basin, one of the largest swamps in the country. Foytlin and others with the group L’Eau Est La Vie (“Water Is Life”) set up wooden platforms between trees along the proposed path of the pipeline. The construction crew couldn’t build the pipeline with a protestor dangling above.
National Lawyers Guild Condemns Secret Service Complicity In Violence Against US Peace Activists
Popular Resistance! | Staff
The undersigned write to condemn the violations of law which are occurring at the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington D.C. and to demand immediate action be taken. Prior to April 25, 2019, a group of peace activists were invited to the Embassy by the government of Venezuela – recognized as such by the United Nations – and continue to be lawfully on the premises. Nonetheless, the United States government, through various law enforcement agencies, have condoned and protected violent opponents in support of an attempted siege of the Embassy. In so doing, the U.S. government is creating a dangerous precedent for diplomatic relations with all nations. These actions are not only illegal, but they put embassies around the world at risk.
