Hello Redacted Fans!
Lets just get the GOOD NEWS out of the way -
Extinction Rebellion poured red paint on the road in front of 10 Downing Street to remind the British leadership that we have to respond to climate change now. It was AWESOME!
On VIP we spoke with Aracely Jimenez about Sunrise Movement, another youth-led environmental group who’re demanding action on climate change.
The environmental indicators might be continuing to alarm those of us who believe in climate change. Insects are disappearing, the sea continues to get warmer, and temperature records continue being smashed BUT it’s a comfort that the youth are standing up and saying “Fuck No!” Or in the words of Greta Thunberg of #schoolstrike4climate, “Act as if the house was on fire!”
I hope you get some good laughs from The Ledger this week.

We Are Being Lied Into War Again
I was 23 when we invaded Iraq, and I wasn’t sure it was based on lies, but something deep down in me—just behind the spleen—told me it was based on lies. Kinda like if your blind date shows up and you notice he has a 2004 flip phone. It seems vaguely worrisome, and no explanation he can haltingly supply will put you at ease. Plus, anyone else who acts like it’s normal also becomes suspect.
The invasion of Iraq just felt like it was a lie to me. And it turned out that I was right, that it was a lie, and that the entirety of the mainstream media and our government were either wrong or lying and, most of the time, both.
Now our government and our media are trying their damnedest to lie us into another war, this one with Venezuela. They tell us the Venezuelan people are desperate for necessities like toothpaste, while independent journalists show piles of affordable toothpaste in Caracas.

NY Times Acknowledges Venezuela Opposition as Cause of Aid Fire, Echoing Initial Reports by Alternative Press
MintPress News | Whitney Webb
While independent outlets have made headway in challenging government narratives, such outlets are often maligned by influential mainstream outlets for reports that question the official story — at least until the MSM decides to get on board and question that story themselves.

Reader-Submitted
This week from Reader-Submitted we are highlighting the contribution of T. Violett.
I look forward to alone time with my daughter, like last Saturday. My wife was working so we started off our day at the local breakfast spot in town. As we finished up I asked her what she was working on at school. She goes to an alternative school and as a 7th grader is part of a middle school they call “Outdoor School”. This means they spend 12 hours a week outdoors immersed in nature, studying it hands-on and writing about their experiences.
